Welcome to La Capraia, a 4 bedroom holiday home with in ground pool, immersed in the green of nature, yet just 15 minutes from the Medieval town of Lucca, 45 minutes to Pisa, and 45 minutes to the Renaissance city of Florence.

Originally a working farmhouse, La Capraia sits nestled on a 6 acre parcel of green olive groves and a small vineyard. It is flanked by a chestnut forest and a cool mountain stream. Life is slow and easy here. We wake to the sound of birds and we sleep to the sound of the cicadas.

Two walking trails into the woods depart from our property. Our patio features a wood oven stove and grape and wisteria covered pergola with a long table for 8. Fire up the wood oven, roast a pig or make some fresh pizza, then eat, laugh and relax with friends and family. At night, you'll never see so many stars in the sky, grab a lawn chair, sit back and watch the night spectacle unfold. Or walk down to the the local bar and pizzeria for some great pizza and beer. Red wine goes for just 60 cents a glass here.

In the morning, enjoy your cappuccinos on the patio with the birds singing and the sun rising high over the historic village of Partigliano. Plan your day trips to Florence, Siena, Lucca or Pisa, all in easy driving distance to La Capraia. Or spend the day at the farmhouse, picking fruit from our orchard, lazing by our new inground pool, or taking a leisurely walk in the surrounding countryside.

We are conveniently located just 1,5 km walk to the lively town of Valdottavo where you will find all the necessary conveniences.
